Just in time for the premiere of "Casino Royale", Sony have revealed the limited edition James Bond Spy Gear laptop. This ultraportable TX Vaio sports an Intel core solo processor, and an 80GB hard drive - more than enough space to keep criminal profiles on Blofeld, Goldfinger and Miss Moneypenny's phone number.

Sony's TX Vaio 007 EditionWill "BlondBond" Daniel Craig offer a suave portayal of Ian Fleming's 007character, or will the little known English actor's performancebe hammier than a 20 oz gammon steak? Personally I preferfictional secret agents to graduate from the Roger Moore "RaisedEyebrow" school of acting, question is would Moore arch a brow atSony's latest TX Vaio James Bond Spy Gear bundle? If you flipopen the Aluminum Attaché caseyou will quickly see that M has packed a couple of goodiesinside.
ACyber-shot digital camera (7.2 megapixels) with 3x optical zoom, and a Sony display privacy filter to keep prying eyes away fromBond's confidential data and intelligence. But what's inside thecharcoal carbon fiber chassis of the laptop itself?

This 007 series of Sony TX Vaio features an ample 80GB harddrive, 2GB of RAM and is powered by a 1.20GHz Core SoloProcessor. However, will that chip's ultra low voltage keep Bond"shaken not stirred"? Well the heat output of these processors isso low that 007 won't need a cooling fan blazing away to keep hisnotebook from overheating. But a Core solo doesn't boast themultitasking capability of Merom.

What else will Bond discover inside this TX Vaio's 2.84 lbsultralight frame? A 11.1" WXGA widescreen display, access to Sony's SmartWiwireless technology, and a double-layer DVD burner. But all thistech comes at a price if you want it in time for the premiere of"Casino Royale". Currently if you surf on over to SonyStyle.comyou're looking at $3,899.99, or £2,188.00 for our UKreaders - a drop in the ocean for Goldfinger but a considerablesum for most secret service minions. Expensive yes, but doconsider that this TX Vaio package islimited edition, so likely will become a collector's item in theyears to come.
