There are better multimedia laptops on the market than the A105-S4014, Apple's Macbook Pro, Sony's AR series of Vaios, and Toshiba's own Qosmio brand are all superior machines. However this Toshiba laptop is competitively priced, and I can definitely vouch for my Satellite P10, which despite having a very noisy cooling fan, has performed admirably for 3 years.

Image of Toshiba\'s Satellite A105-S4014The ToshibaA105-S4014 could be the perfect laptop for the average Joe Soapuser. This Toshiba is relatively portable for a multimedianotebook at about 6 pounds. Its 15.4-inch screen hasTruBrite coating so colors and contrasts shine through. And it\'sgot the latest type of Intel processor-a 1.83 GHz Core Duo MT2400-which means smooth sailing during multitasking. Youraverage laptop user is-let\'s face it-far from a Laptopical-gradenerd.
If therewere too many Laptopical-grade nerds around, there\'d be less jobsout there that allow us to nerd out and get paid for it. So then, the remaining question is: what are these average laptop users?Cavemen? Tech Trainspotters? MySpace addicted teenagers?

Nein, to all those counts, my nerdirific friend. Unlike us,these average laptop users are content to have a relatively cheapmultimedia notebook that allows them to save their songs and photos, watch movies, cruise the Internet, type a letter or report or twowith Word-basic computer functions. They\'re not looking to designthe next great Apple magazine ad on their laptop, or play andthen create the hottest games.

Nein, the average laptop user will find this Toshiba\'s multimedia controls, located on the keyboard, super useful for playing DVDs, launching Windows Media Player, ordiving into wireless Internet.

They\'ll be content with the ample ports on the Toshiba Satellite A105-S4014, including FireWire, USBs, RGB, and S-Video, alongwith a 5-in-1 card reader and a PC Card 16 CardBus.

And they won\'t complain too much that this Toshiba Satellite\'s battery lasts for about 3 hours with the Wi-Fi turnedoff, a little under that with it turned on. That\'s about thelength of an average flight for an average user, or the averagelength of stay in your average coffee shop without enough ACoutlets.
