Lenovo's Ultra-Portable IdeaPad G-Series Notebook Revealed

Digitimes is claiming Lenovo is creating a book they intended to enter the 'netbook' market, and it will be based off the Ideapad series.

Digitimes is claiming that Lenovo is planning to launch an ultra-portable line of their IdeaPad series.

This new product line of ultra-portables will be called the G-series, and is intended for those wanting an entry-level laptop, or ultra-portable 'netbook'. Oddly, however, this 'netbook' will sport a 14.1" display, hardly making it an ultra-portable, and excluding it from that market, despite Lenovo's hopes.

The first notebook in the G-series line will be the G430. The G430 will run an Intel Centrino 2 platform and will be manufactured by a Taiwan-based company.

There's no word on when this will be available or what it's price will be. Lenovo, however, has stated that 'it will be very active in regards to price competition in the future'.
