Opinion About the Gateway 7405GX

Saturday, February 12th, 2005

It's certainly a red-letter day for the folks at Gateway.

LAPTOP Magazine recently issued a glowing review on the company's 7405GX laptop, reporting that the 80 GB hard drive multitasks and stores well, keeping crisp graphics going while game-playing; offers a bright, wide screen (15.4 inches) for viewing ease; and is more than suitable for watching or burning DVDs, editing digital images, and working with spreadsheets.

Essentially, this whiz of a machine has it all, providing desktop service in laptop design. The report also noted its exceptional, rich sound and first-rate gaming capabilities, all encased within a 7.5-pound, sleekly designed package -- and all at a VERY princely price of $1,399.

It whirs quietly, too, and those gentlemen with laptop infertility concerns should be relieved. The Gateway 7405GX shouldn't fry your lap or any other surface, as the heat is dispensed through small exhaust vents on the back. The one and only drawback noted is the somewhat slow loading of large files, like high-res photos, due to the 4,200-rpm throughput. Still interested?

Head over to Gateway's official site, this is a package you may not want to pass up.
