The Fujitsu S6231 - A Lifebook With PanacheFriday, November 26, 2004Cnet once stated that Fujitsu notebooks were: "Laptops that James Bond could love." High praise indeed, but understandable because Fujitsu make sleek laptop computers with noodles of panache. Take a look at the LifeBook S6231 for example. This model (in the thin and light notebook class) comes in a magnesium alloy casing which gives it a solid "here to stay" feel. It also comes fitted with an Intel Pentium M Processor, 13.3 inch Crystal View XGA display, 512 MB of SDRAM memory, and a 60 GB hard drive. Battery life is impressive, around 4 hours using the main battery, or up to eight 8 hours utilising the dual battery capability. At the time of this article (november 2004), prices are around $1,800, but this can rise if you want to customize the Lifebook with increased specifications, like an 80 GB hard drive, or a 1GB memory module. Mark Kyrnin who writes for PC/Hardware reviews over at about.com gave this Lifebook a 4 out of 5 stars guide rating. |
