Take a Bite of the New Apple PowerbookSunday, February 06, 2005Hot off the press (or straight off the apple tree) we hear that Apple have just announced the release of a new line of Powerbooks. These smooth, svelte laptops (12 inch model weighs 4.6 pounds) proudly sport PowerPC G4 processors. The 12 inch model has a 1.5GHz processor, whilst the 15 inch and 17 inch models have processor speeds of up to 1.67GHz. Prices start at under 1500 hundred dollars for one of these puppies, features include - 512MB of memory, a 5400-rpm hard disk drive, sudden motion sensor technology (helps protect against laptop data loss caused by bumps and jolts). The powerbooks also have wireless connection speeds of up to 54Mbps, USB 2.0 and FireWire 400 ports, scrolling trackpad, and built in Bluetooth 2.0+EDR (Enhanced Data Rate) wireless peripheral connectivity. Every PowerBook also comes loaded with the following software - iTunes, iPhoto 5, iMovie HD, iDVD 5 and GarageBand 2. John Masefield once wrote: "Poetry is a mixture of common sense, which not all have, with an uncommon sense, which very few have." Apple Powerbooks are as close to poetry as technology can get, having both practicality and a beautiful, yet, understated sense of style.
