Apple Macbook Reviews & News Page 1
Apple have come along way since the introduction of the 15.9 pound "Macintosh Portable" back in 1989. In the early nineties the award winning Powerbook line of Apple laptops were introduced, followed by the best selling iBook. In 2006 the iBook/Powerbook lines were discontinued and replaced with the dual core Macbook and powerful Macbook Pro. Thanks partly to dual core processors, and innovative boot camp software which allows Macbook buyers to install Windows XP, sales have been strong.

On Monday, Apple was encouraging its users to patch up their Macbooks with a software update intended to fix some graphics related issues. On Wednesday, Apple removed the update, and it can no longer be found on Apple's website or in their Software Update feature. As per the usual Apple standard, no reason whatsoever was given. Our best guess was that it just didn't work. Read More

Lately it has been all the rage to talk about the problems that have been cropping up with the new MacBook Pros, and we'd be lying if we said we hadn't gotten caught up in it. From the trackpad issues to the lack of AC power support to the problems with the RAM and GPU, it seemed like it would never end. Oh wait, did we say GPU? It looks like that one may have been false. We've already reported the problems with the new trackpad that have been worked on, and the issue with running your MacBook on purely AC power. And most people have shrugged their shoulders and gotten used to the lack of a FireWire 400 port and the over-the-top glossiness of the screen. But now there's problems with maxing out your RAM and the new GPU? It seems Apple may have grabbed a little more spotlight than even Steve Jobs ever wanted lately. Read More
