Apple have come along way since the introduction of the 15.9 pound "Macintosh Portable" back in 1989. In the early nineties the award winning Powerbook line of Apple laptops were introduced, followed by the best selling iBook. In 2006 the iBook/Powerbook lines were discontinued and replaced with the dual core Macbook and powerful Macbook Pro. Thanks partly to dual core processors, and innovative boot camp software which allows Macbook buyers to install Windows XP, sales have been strong.
