Will Dell be Persuaded to "Chip in" for AMD's 64 bit processor?
With the high profile launch of Acer's 64 bit notebook, the Ferrari 4000, AMD's new chip has certainly been getting plenty of air time of late. Still Intel's dominance is such that it would take a marketing miracle for the centrino platform to be knocked off the processor podium.....Or would it? If Acer and Hewlett Packard sell plenty of Turion laptops, would a big cheese manufacturer like Dell jump off the Intel shuttle bus, and hop on board Train Turion?
