Chart Topper? - The 3002 Acer Aspire |
|
Are you
interested to hear what the word is on the street about laptops?
Looking to read unbiased reviews from real buyers? Forget
Laptopical - I've personally witnessed the editor here taking
countless brown envelope back handers from the corps, so our
reviews are about as trustworthy as a chimp in a banana
house. Just kidding folks, however when shelling out for an expensive
piece of computer hardware, it's always wise to get multiple
opinions. Epinions is an excellent place to find real user opinions about laptops, from love stories, to reviews worthy of a Bram Stoker novel, a wide range can be found here. Notebookreview.com is another excellent resource. On their popular forum, eager visitors have racked up over a 100,000 posts, ranging from hardware reviews, discussions about gaming software, notebook mods and upgrades, to the latest tech bargains. |

Notebook review also have best selling page at their site, and
today it was an Acer laptop
topping the charts. When I think of Acer, the beautiful Ferrari
4000 instantly springs to mind. However it was not the top
end 4000 hitting the toppermost of the poppermost on this
sultry day in July, but one of their budget offerings - The
Aspire 3002LCi. But why is a laptop like the Aspire 3002LCi so popular with notebook buying punters? One word - Value. The specs are solid for a no frills machine, but certainly don't draw gasps of amazement......An AMD Mobile Sempron (1.6 GHz) processor, 256 MB DDR SDRAM, 40 GB hard drive, a 15 inch TFT active matrix display, all in a less than svelte 6.2 pounds frame. Then you look at the sub 600 dollar price tag, and you begin to get to the bottom of it's popularity. This is the time of year when cash strapped students are looking for a discounted notebook to take back to the classroom. The Acer Aspire 3002LCi should enable you to surf the web, watch DVDs, and handle Microsoft Office applications with ease. So if you're on the hunt for a laptop this summer, the word is RESEARCH. There are no guarantees, but using multiple sources should lessen the chance of you purchasing a dud. By Todd Gold Tuesday, July 19, 2005 |
