Acer Travelmate 3000 Garners Red Dot AwardTop 5 laptop brand Acer, have something more to shout about this month, than record sales figures and global 2004 revenues of 7 billion dollars. One of their popular notebooks, the Travelmate 3000, has snapped up a coveted red dot award from the esteemed Design Zentrum Nordrhein Westfalen in Germany.The Travelmate 3000 topped the "Media/Home Electronics" category, achieving high scores for attributes including - durability, innovation and functionality. The Ultralight Acer Travelmate 3000 sports a 12.1 inch (Widescreen) CrystalBrite panoramic display, and the notebook's compact chassis occupies less desktop space than a sheet of A4 paper - it weighs just 1.4kg.
